So for those unfamiliar with you, who is Chris Power and what is he all about? First of thanks for your interest in our little flick! As to who I am – well I could give you the resume answer, but really I’m just a film geek who used to work at Blockbuster and finally made a movie that’s on the shelf at my old store. Interview With Director Chris Power (Long Pigs) - The Faces Of Indie Horror Month A radio announcer channeling his inner Bob McCowan (of CBC radio fame) assaults the viewer with his opinions, then we're introduced to Anthony, the sweet, gentle man who kills a prostitute just so he can make stew. What happened next was truly a treat! I popped it into the DVD player and sat back with my popcorn. I finally found this film at my local Blockbuster and convinced my boyfriend to rent it. I had heard about Long Pigs first on Facebook, and wanted to see it instantly. It was such a pleasure to meet and chat with these guys. I was able to interview an indie horror film director, Chris Power and meet the main Cannibal - Anthony Alviano. The last weekend of August, Toronto's biggest genre fans unite to wreak havoc, hang out and meet other fans as well as meet and greet their biggest idols in genre at FanExpo. It's only when they investigate further that the filmmakers begin to doubt Anthony's accounts of his past. They even begin to identify with his ecological and philosophical justifications for his cannibalistic lifestyle.

Initially terrified, the filmmakers get to know Anthony as a person.

The "found footage" documentary called Long Pigs. So, for the first one we'll kick it off with a flick that's been making the rounds at horror festivals everywhere since 2007. With so many horror fans telling us how tired they are of Hollywood remakes, we thought it would be cool to run an "Indie Horror Spotlight" feature.
